Sir C.V.Raman

Full Name:-Chandrashekar Venkat Raman
Born:7th Nov.1888 in a scholar family.
At:Tiruchirapalli (Tamil Nadu).
Passed matriculation exam at the age of 12.
Passed B.A exam at the age of 16.
He stood first for I.A.A.S exam.
Qualities:Love for Science,enthusiasm to work and curiosity to learn things.
His work was on scattering of Light.
His discovery is known as "Raman Effect".
He was awarded nobel prize in 1930.
Russian Govt. awarded him Lenin Prize.
Established Raman Research Institute in 1943 at Banglore.
Indian Govt. honoured him with "BHARATRATNA" in 1954.
He expired on 21st Nov.1970.
